HRH Prince of Wales opens The Prince’s Trust new South London centre
The new centre will provide young people a space to spend time with friends whilst also getting support with training and employment.
The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust donated £10 million pounds earlier in the year to the Prince’s Trust to make the project possible, as well as supporting the “Amplified” initiative to stop young people getting involved in violence.
Julia and Hans Rausing were given a tour of the new building, before meeting a number of people who have been impacted by violence in London as well as staff at the Trust.
The Prince’s Trust said: “The Prince’s Trust South London Centre will underpin The Trust’s ambitious plans to reach more young people across London than ever before, helped by a generous donation from The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust.”
HRH Prince of Wales, who opened the new Southwark centre, thanked Julia and Hans for their generosity and the positive impact the gift will have on the lives of thousands of young people across London.
