Athelstan Museum, Malmesbury
The Athelstan Museum sits in a hill top town built on a 2,800-year-old Iron Age hill fort. The museum contains a collection of local artefacts and has a number of exhibitions throughout the year.
The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust has supported the museum with a grants of almost £300,000 for the restoration of the Moravian Church in the town, which had recently been purchased by the museum. As a result of the grant, the Museum will now be able to increase educational outreach programmes for children and adults in the local area.
