The Black Stork Charity, or The DNRC Charity as it is now known, was established in May 2011 to raise funds and to facilitate the design, management and construction of the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre at the Stanford Hall Estate near Loughborough. It will be one of the world’s best clinical rehabilitation centres for the armed forces and the nation, providing the best possible care to people with very serious and often life-changing injuries, getting them back to mobility, fitness and back to work.
The project is under construction and due to be handed over to the MOD in 2018.
The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust has provided two grants as part of the new £300 million rehabilitation centre. The project is due to be handed over to the MOD in June 2018
